this 5-star-rated ranch-style house from wm t moore construction was constructed with perform wall icfs that use 85% waste styrofoam and 15% cement to make a 10-inch wall that accepts cement stucco without metal lath or expansion joints. other features include a sips roof system, metal roofing and a pitch optimized for future pv additions, and geothermal hvac. the house is designed to capture breezes and be shaded the summer sun, while the front courtyard protects the herb gardens from deer.
